Job Description

Our Public Sector client based in Birmingham City Centre is currently looking for an Administrative Officer to support their IT department. This will be Monday to Friday, usually 9.00am to 5.00pm. This will be a 6-week temporary assignment only, paying £11.53 p/hr. This is currently fully onsite for the first week and then hybrid working for the balance of the assignment, three days working on site and two working from home.

This role will require you to be responsible for the below tasks and any other ad hoc administration tasks required.

  • Support the agency's Finance System Business World assisting with user requests and simple change activity, for example:
  • User Maintenance and associated tasks
  • Password resets
  • Incident logging and follow up
  • Take responsibility for work allocated for progression and completion providing updates on call progress
  • Update data in relation to work progressed via relevant tools e.g., Service Now, Sharepoint and Wisdom.

Skills required:

  • Aptitude for working with IT based systems,
  • Ability to adapt to evolving IT infrastructures.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Good time management skills.
  • Can input and record information accurately.

The client is looking for someone with previous IT Helpdesk admin experience where possible.

Please note this role will require a DBS check, and three years referencing.
