The Ulster Hospital's Maternity Department is seeking a dedicated Band 2 Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our team. In this vital role, you will play a key part in ensuring that our patients and visitors feel supported and informed during their time with us. Position: Band 2 Receptionist
Location: Ulster Hospital, Maternity Department
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
Pay: £11.45 per hour, paid weekly

Key Responsibilities:

  • First Point of Contact: Greet patients and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression of the maternity department.
  • Communication Management: Handle incoming phone calls and inquiries efficiently, providing accurate information and directing calls to the appropriate personnel or departments.
  • Appointment Coordination: Assist in scheduling and managing patient appointments, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately recorded and communicated.
  • Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and data protection regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth operations within the maternity department, contributing to a cohesive team environment.
  • Problem Solving: Address patient concerns and queries promptly and professionally, escalating issues as necessary to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
  • Office Management: Maintain an organized reception area, including managing office supplies and ensuring that all materials are readily available for staff and patients.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a receptionist or administrative role.
  • Must have 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English.
