Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker (Level 3)
Location: Stoke on Trent
Salary: £24k - £29k
Hours: 37.50 Monday - Sunday 12 hours day and waking night
Looking for a qualified level 3 children's residential support worker to support in the Stoke on Trent region of West Midlands.
Job Description:
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people within a residential setting. You will be responsible for promoting their independence, well-being, and development while ensuring their safety and security. Your responsibilities will include:
- Offering practical and emotional support to children and young people, helping them to engage in activities that encourage personal development and independence.
- Building positive, trusting relationships with the children and young people in our care, acting as a positive role model.
- Assisting with daily routines and activities, including meal preparation, personal care, and ensuring a safe living environment.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with senior staff and other professionals.
- Supporting the children in their education, health, and emotional needs, ensuring their voice is heard and they are actively involved in decisions affecting them.
- Monitoring and reporting on the progress and well-being of the children and young people, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Essential Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
- Minimum 1 year experience working in a residential childcare provision
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- A compassionate and patient approach with a passion for working with children and young people.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, and work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work on a shift rota, including weekends and holidays.
