Job Description

Resource Planning Manager
Location: Belper
Salary: Circa £32,000


Our client, a well-established business, is looking for a Resource Planning Manager to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in resource management to help improve operational efficiency and support the company in meeting its goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement resource plans to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and company objectives, tracking how resources are used and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop and update resource forecasting models to predict both short-term and long-term needs, allocating resources based on skills and business priorities.
  • Regularly assess and adjust resource needs based on business changes, identifying any gaps in field engineers or contact centre agents. Work closely with key stakeholders to report on the skills and resources required to meet business needs.
  • Act as the main point of contact for department heads on all resource-related matters, resolving any conflicts by negotiating priorities and deadlines, and ensuring workloads are balanced for maximum productivity.
  • Lead and manage a team of resource planners, setting clear goals and ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for field engineers and contact centre agents to improve workforce efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in business resource planning or workforce management.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and pay attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to work with different stakeholders.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based tools.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above) are essential.
