Job Description

Administrator - Personal Insolvency Team (Temporary Assignment)

Location: Civic Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 8QF (Full-time office attendance during training, potential for hybrid working)
Contract Duration: ASAP - 31/03/2025 with possibility to extend
Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon-Thu: 9am-5pm, Fri: 9am-4:30pm)

Rate of Pay: £11.53ph - Weekly pay

About the Role:
As an Administrative Officer in the Personal Insolvency Team, you will be part of a dynamic and busy team responsible for processing debt relief applications and responding to customer queries, including members of the public and debt advice organisations. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience across a wide range of services while developing key skills that are highly transferable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing applications for debt relief.
  • Managing and inputting data into office databases and case management systems.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, including answering queries from both the public and debt advice organisations.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure deadlines and service standards are met.

Skills and Experience: We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Organisational skills: Ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Interpersonal skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain information clearly and accurately to customers.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work flexibly within a team and support colleagues when needed.
  • IT skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Office Attendance:
This role requires full-time office attendance during the training period. There may be potential for hybrid working arrangements after training is completed.

Note: This is a temporary assignment, starting ASAP and running until 31/03/2025. You will be required to provide 3 years of work/unemployment history along with current right to work documentation when required so that a DBS can be completed for you prior to starting the role.
