Exciting Opportunity: Administrative Officer at Weymouth Law Courts

Are you ready to join a vibrant and fast-paced office environment? Brook Street is seeking a motivated Administrative Officer to become a vital part of Weymouth Law Courts

Position Details:

  • Role: Administrative Officer (Part-Time)
  • Hours: 18.5 hours per week (09:00-17:00)
  • Duration: 3 months, with potential for extension based on performance
  • Pay Rate: £11.59 per hour for the first 12 weeks, increasing to £11.88 per hour
  • Location: Weymouth Law Courts, Westwey Road, Weymouth - Dorset, DT4 8TE
  • Start Date: asap, vetting pending

Key Responsibilities:

  • File Preparation: Prepare electronic files for court, tribunals, hearings, and meetings.
  • Document Production: Create essential court documents.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle general photocopying, filing, post opening, and dispatch.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update records in our in-house computer system and perform data input.
  • Customer Interaction: Manage various telephone enquiries and maintain regular contact with court users, including members of the Judiciary and the legal profession.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Strong ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Tech Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.

*The offered candidate is subject to a vetting - basic DBS clearance and an activity check for the last 3 years.
