Exciting Opportunity: Administrative Officer at Weymouth Law Courts
Are you ready to join a vibrant and fast-paced office environment? Brook Street is seeking a motivated Administrative Officer to become a vital part of Weymouth Law Courts
Position Details:
- Role: Administrative Officer (Part-Time)
- Hours: 18.5 hours per week (09:00-17:00)
- Duration: 3 months, with potential for extension based on performance
- Pay Rate: £11.59 per hour for the first 12 weeks, increasing to £11.88 per hour
- Location: Weymouth Law Courts, Westwey Road, Weymouth - Dorset, DT4 8TE
- Start Date: asap, vetting pending

Key Responsibilities:
- File Preparation: Prepare electronic files for court, tribunals, hearings, and meetings.
- Document Production: Create essential court documents.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle general photocopying, filing, post opening, and dispatch.
- Data Management: Maintain and update records in our in-house computer system and perform data input.
- Customer Interaction: Manage various telephone enquiries and maintain regular contact with court users, including members of the Judiciary and the legal profession.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Teamwork: Strong ability to work effectively within a team.
- Tech Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
*The offered candidate is subject to a vetting - basic DBS clearance and an activity check for the last 3 years.
