Job Description

Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.

Administrator - Public Sector | Bury St Edmund's Court | £12.21 per hour

Our Public Sector client is currently recruiting for an Administrator to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis, based at Bury St Edmund's Court.

This is a fully office-based role, working Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. The rate of pay is £12.21 per hour, with holiday entitlement and a pension scheme available. The office is conveniently located next to the bus station, making it easily accessible by public transport and close to local amenities.

About the Role:

This is a varied and fast-paced position where you'll support general case queries working within the MEBC (Maintenance Enforcement Business Centre) department of the court. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • General administration
  • Handling queries regarding hearings
  • Providing updates on court activity via internal systems
  • Opening and sorting post
  • Data entry and processing court orders
  • Answering telephone queries
  • Taking payments over the phone
  • Inputting petitions and case information
  • Carrying case files across different floors

Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment. You should have experience with data entry, and be confident using Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Given the compliance requirements and performance targets in place, you'll need a keen eye for detail and a proven track record of working in a target-driven, fast-paced environment with a strong focus on accuracy.
