Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join our dynamic team. This senior role is integral to our operations, requiring a proactive individual who can manage client accounts, payroll, VAT, and end-of-month reports. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a strong team spirit, ready to step into a "number 2" position within our firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payroll submissions.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Generate and analyse end-of-month financial reports.
• Engage with clients to provide financial advice and support, fostering strong client relationships.
• Utilise accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks for day-to-day tasks.
• Assist in business development by identifying and securing new business opportunities.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of practice experience in an accountancy firm.
• ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Proven experience in client management and business development.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
