HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS): HMCTS is responsible for the administration of the courts and tribunals in England and Wales. This includes the provision of court facilities, the management of casework, and the delivery of justice services. The MOJ's departments are responsible for a wide range of functions, from the administration of the courts and prisons to the provision of legal aid and the protection of vulnerable adults. Brook Street have partnered with HMCTS for over 15 years to provide temporary workers for a variety of roles. We offer both full-time and part-time positions, and our work is based in most areas of the UK.
Opportunities: HMCTS roles are challenging and rewarding, and our temporary workers carry out a wide range of duties. You could be working as an Admin Officer, Court Usher, Fines Officer, or Support Officer.
Admin Officers provide essential HMCTS services to the public, working with the Judiciary, Magistracy, Cluster Managers, Court staff, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Court Ushers are an essential first point of contact for all court users. They engage with the judiciary, legal representatives, and the public, and they prepare court /hearing rooms and complete documentation, ensuring the court runs smoothly and efficiently.
Support Officers provide an accessible and inclusive service to our users, providing clear signposting and guidance, coaching them in the use of the online platform, and providing information to resolve queries. They also process and update high-volume case details accurately and efficiently.
Fines Officers are responsible for creating/updating records on in-house computer systems and data input, post opening and receipting cash and cheques, handling telephone and written enquiries, reconciling accounts, financial allocation of payments, and general accounting processes & office duties.
