Ward Manager - Preston, UK
Join a leading healthcare provider in Preston, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and fostering a supportive environment for our staff. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Ward Manager to lead the nursing and support team and ensure the highest standards of clinical care are maintained.
The role:
- Lead and manage the nursing and support team, ensuring effective delivery of patient care within a 14 bedded inpatient rehabilitation service
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ward, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organisational policies.
- Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff, promoting professional development.
- Manage ward budgets and resources efficiently.
- Engage with patients and their families, addressing concerns and providing support.
- Permanent, full time Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Ideal candidate:
- Registered Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC pin.
- Experience of managing services within similar settings
- Significant experience in a clinical nursing role, with prior leadership experience preferred.
- Strong operational resilience and ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in nursing clinical skills and patient assessment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and improvement.
