Job Description
Job Title: Support Worker
About the Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in a woman's hostel in Edgware Road. As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to women with a range of complex needs and backgrounds, empowering them to reach their goals and achieve independence.
You will work with vulnerable women who need support in various areas of their lives. Your role will include linking them with other agencies and services, offering holistic support, and helping them maintain a stable and secure living environment. You will play an important part in assisting with their tenancy, supporting them to attend meetings, appointments, and advocating on their behalf as needed.
Location: Edgware Road, (West London)
Salary: £13-£15 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: [Temp-Permanent]
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quality, person-centred support to women with complex needs, empowering them to achieve their goals.
- Assist in ensuring that accommodation is safe and secure for all residents.
- Carry out daily floor and health & safety checks to maintain a safe environment.
- Support clients with maintaining their tenancy and ensure they receive the support they need.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a support worker role, particularly in a residential setting or with vulnerable individuals.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and experience with tenancy management.
