Job Description

Brook Street is currently recruiting for a Senior Manager position at an established accountancy practice in Newry.

This full-time role reports directly to the Company Director and offers flexible working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Position: Senior Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a dedicated team, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to deadlines.
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships, providing strategic advice and solutions tailored to their business goals.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies.
  • Actively manage month-end and period-end deadlines, tracking job progress and billing targets effectively.
  • Address client queries promptly and efficiently, maintaining a high standard of service.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CAI/ACCA) with a minimum of 5 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Proven experience working with clients across diverse sectors.
  • Professional, proactive approach to delivering client advice, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of income tax and corporation tax principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and MS Office, particularly Excel, along with a working knowledge of taxation software (Sage).
