Job Description: Senior Executive Officer - Ministry of Defence
Location: Primarily Remote working however will be required to travel to the for meetings. The main office is in High Wycombe. Pay Rate: £18.35 per hour (weekly pay)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
The Ministry of Defence is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Executive Officer to join their dedicated team focusing on the United States Visiting Forces (USVF) project. This role is essential in managing processes that support our operational commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the legacy recovery process, ensuring timely submission of documentation for payment review and processing.
- Engage Stakeholders
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of recovery actions, providing routine progress updates to the chain of command.
- Identify risks and issues within the recovery process, reporting them to the chain of command as necessary.
- Provide direction and guidance to two Executive Officers, focusing on Analysing invoices for recovery actions.
- Liaising with energy suppliers for information access.
- Ensuring compliance with UK and U.S. financial laws.
- Updating dashboards and progress trackers.
- Approving efficiency-enhancing changes to existing processes.
- Building trust with U.S. POCs through effective communication and results delivery.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a senior administrative or management role.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage a remote team.
