Brook Street (UK) Ltd are recruiting Senior Clerical Officer`s for our leading Public Sector client Education Authority Northern Ireland.
This role will be starting immediately and is expected to last several months.

As a Senior Clerical Officer located in Ballymena you will provide advice and assistance to Education Authority officers, customers, the public and other professionals in respect of agreed aspects of the service and as directed by the Programme Manager.
You will provide efficient administrative support for the daily functional and operational staff.
You will be proficient in MS Packages such as Excel, Outlook and Word. You will be confident in the daily use of spreadsheets and databases and will conduct typing and word-processing duties.
SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS MUST:
" Provide Administrative, clerical and secretarial support for the Literacy Service on a regional basis
" Keep up to date with developments in data management systems and attend training as agreed with senior staff
" Manage and be responsible for arranging room bookings and catering for service related meetings, training and events
" Accurate data input to update the Literacy Service Business Share-Point site and any other related data capture systems
" Ensure all records are updated in a timely manner, and staff are informed of changes
" Set up and use templates for regular letters, minutes etc under guidance from senior staff
" Use of Oracle Procurement system to order stationary supplies and other items regionally for senior staff
" Use initiative regarding finance, purchasing and supplies ensuring value for money by using EA contracts, and obtaining quotes for non-catalogue purchases.
" Be the first point of contact as part of a regional admin telephone group and regional Literacy Service shared mailbox
" Answer calls and emails promptly and effectively in line with EA procedures
" Identify all relevant details from service users, and ensure details are passed to relevant staff member
" Assist with general administration duties related to the Literacy Service Continuing Professional Development training programme for schools
" Provide word processing/typing, filing, photocopying, scanning of word documents in support of administrative processes.
" Comply with EA policies and procedures in relation to the duties and responsibilities of this post
" Assist with training new staff to the Service
" Have the equivalent of five GCSE's at grade C or above and at least one-year administrative experience in an office environment.

The rate of pay is £10.29 per hour, the hours of work are 0900-1700 Monday to Friday.
