About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced and organised Senior Administrative Officer to join the National Probation Service. In this key role, you'll help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, working with local and regional teams on admin, coordination, and day-to-day operations.
You'll be working closely with managers and team members, making sure processes are followed, offices are safe and well-maintained, and staff are supported. You'll also lead a small team of admin staff and help make sure everyone has what they need to deliver high-quality services.
What You'll Be Doing
- Organising office systems and keeping accurate records
- Helping prepare reports and documents
- Finance tasks like handling petty cash and processing travel claims
- Making sure our offices are safe, secure, and compliant with health & safety rules
- Attending meetings and representing your manager when needed
- Line-managing admin assistants and helping them grow in their roles
- Recruitment and staff training
- Using IT systems to gather and analyse information
- Handling sensitive and confidential information with care
