Brook Street are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Semi Senior Accountant to join a dynamic team in Swansea. This role is an excellent opportunity for finance professionals looking to advance their careers while working towards their ACCA qualification.

This company are hiring for a Semi-Senior Accountant and a Client Portfolio Manager.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Accounts: Compile and prepare accounts and tax computations for a diverse portfolio of clients, including companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
• Client Interaction: Report directly to the director or client manager, attending meetings and addressing client queries effectively.
• VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with current regulations.
• Bookkeeping Support: Provide ad hoc bookkeeping assistance utilizing various accounting software packages, including Sage 50 and Xero.
• Team Support: Mentor and provide support to junior staff members, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in an accounting practice.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a team setting.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with Sage and Xero is preferred but not essential.
• Interpersonal Skills: A friendly and approachable demeanor, capable of building strong client relationships.
• Driving License: Must hold a full UK driving license.
