Job Summary
Position: Sales Ledger/Credit Controller
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37 per week (Mon - Thurs 8:30am to 5:00pm and Fri 8:30am to 1:30pm)
Salary: £24,205
Location: Barry, Vale of Glamorgan
Company Type: Manufacturing (Breathalysers)
Looking for a Local Candidate ready to hit the ground running in a dynamic finance team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Management: Code, batch, and enter service invoices into Sage; import sales invoices via Smartvision and Micro Sage.
- Receipts Processing: Import daily bank statements and reconcile receipts against accounts; prepare weekly receipts forecasts.
- Credit Control: Contact customers regarding overdue accounts; resolve queries and manage credit arrangements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare inter-company figures and input data into Excel reports; process monthly expenses and customer refunds.
- Support & Coverage: Assist with purchase ledger duties and cover for colleagues during absences.
Skills
- Strong understanding of Sales ledger & Credit Control processes
- Accuracy, excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a small friendly team
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Good analytic skills and the ability to interpret financial information
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for liaising with suppliers, auditors and internal departments.
- Good work ethic
- Good knowledge of excel
