Position: Sales Administrator
Location: Alton
Salary: Up to £28k
Reports to: Sales Manager
Hours: Full-time
Role Overview
As a Sales Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the sales team by ensuring the smooth running of daily operations. This position involves a combination of administrative tasks, customer service, and sales coordination. You'll be responsible for managing customer orders, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional support to both the internal team and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Processing: Accurately process customer orders, track shipments, and manage invoicing to ensure timely delivery and payment.
- Sales Support: Assist the sales team with preparing quotes, proposals, and any required documentation for clients.
- Customer Communication: Serve as a point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, providing updates on orders, and addressing any concerns.
- Record Management: Maintain and update sales records, customer information, and contracts in the company database.
- Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure stock availability.
- Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular sales reports to management, highlighting key performance metrics and order statuses.
- Cross-Department Coordination: Liaise with various departments (sales, logistics, finance) to ensure customer requirements are met.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a sales support or administrative role is desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for dealing with customers and internal teams.
- Organisational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience using CRM systems.
- Team Player: Able to work collaboratively within a team while managing individual responsibilities.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle issues that may arise with orders or deliveries efficiently and professionally.
