Residential Support Worker for Children and Young People - Wellingborough, Northamptonshire (Driver Required)

Role Overview:

  • Providing 24-hour care, for Children/Young People (8-18 yrs) with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and/or learning disabilities.
  • Provide high-quality care and support to individuals with various needs, including behavioural support, mental health, non-verbal communication, and learning difficulties.
  • Providing advice, care, and stability for all young people, ensuring fair and equal treatment.
  • Support clients in daily activities, including meal preparation, medication management, and household chores.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, families, and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided.

Requirements:

Essential

  • Experience in monitoring service delivery and meeting short term objectives
  • Children's Residential Experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Enhanced Adult and Child workforce DBS (update service).

Desirable

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic IT skills (touchscreen devices, computers).
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Flexible, resilient and adaptable in a highly interchangeable environment
