Job Description
Recovery Worker - Penrith
Permanent, 30 hours per week

We are seeking a skilled Recovery Worker to join their team to work on a rota covering days shifts, 30 hours per week.
The role:
- Provide support to individuals with mental health issues, promoting recovery and independence.
- Assist clients in developing personal support plans and achieving their goals.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their well-being.
- Encourage and support the residents to help them achieve their personal goals.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with organisational policies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of service delivery.
- Adhere to all relevant internal policies & procedures
Ideal Candidate and requirements
- Experience in supporting vulnerable people particularly within mental health settings.
- Understanding of mental health problems and their impact on individuals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Knowledge of adult services and support work practices.
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgemental approach to care.
- Ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism and sensitivity.
