Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Newtownabbey

Start Date: January 2025

Hours of Work: 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (7:25am - 4:55pm, with a 30-minute lunch break)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our team in Newtownabbey. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks within a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production Machine Operation: Operate production machinery efficiently and safely.

Cable Loom Assembly: Assemble cable looms to specified standards.

Mechanical Assembly: Perform mechanical assembly tasks as required.

Software Replication: Assist in software replication processes.

Kit Building: Build kits according to production schedules and quality standards.

Packing: Pack finished products for distribution.

LEAN Manufacturing Programs: Participate in LEAN Manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and quality.

Portfolio Management: Work across multiple portfolios to meet production targets.

Output Targets: Take ownership of hourly output targets and ensure they are met.

Other Duties: Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the production team.

General Tidiness/Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and tidy work area.

Desirable Requirements

Production Environment Experience: Previous experience working in a production environment.

Electronic Equipment Experience: Experience working with production electronic equipment.

PCBA Experience: Familiarity with Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs).

PC Literacy: PC literate with ECDL or equivalent certification desirable.

Good Dexterity: Strong manual dexterity.

Quick Learner: Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes.

Process Adherence: Ability to follow work instructions and adhere strictly to processes

Hourly Rate: £11.75
