Procurement and Materials Planning Specialist - 6-month contract with a view to extend

Salary is £38,000

Working: 37.5 per week 08:30 - 16:30

Flexible approach to Hybrid

Overall purpose of the Job:

To work with our current Procurement and Materials Planning Specialist to ensure sufficient stock level of each raw material on site (acids, feedstocks, additives, plastic packaging) to support the manufacturing plan/ ensuring that we've got enough space on site to discharge tanks & unload trucks. This will require daily communication across both internal teams and external suppliers

Responsibilities and duties:

• Materials Planning - via integrated teams' meetings - Operations, Commercial, Logistics and Customer Services
• Raising Purchase Orders - Both direct and indirect
• Planning & Executing Supplier Delivery Management (Expedite and re-planning deliveries) Exception messages
• Purchase Order Price and delivery date amendment.
• Yard Scheduling - updating to and schedule additions for both inbound and outbound bulk materials

• Invoice query resolution - Qty, Price and GRN issue

• Support Supplier review meetings

• Planning and ordering safety stocks -working closely with manufacturing to understand run rates looking up to eight weeks out
• Attend weekly SIOP and Sales and Production meetings

• Reconciliation of invoices against shipments - constant communication with finance

• Ensure that health and safety guidelines and practices are maintained and developed.

You will have a minimum of three years' experience in manufacturing raw materials planning and purchasing role, be proficient in data entry using ERP systems - SAP/SyteLine etc and have supply chain experience

• Practical, Physically active

• Self-Starter needing minimal supervision and a Team player

It would be beneficial if you have a Business qualification and SAP experience
