Job Description
My public sector client is looking for an experienced Personal Assistant / Support Worker to work alongside one of their Lead Product Managers to support them with their day-to-day work. This is a temporary assignment for about 5 months, working Monday to Friday paying £14.53 per hour, full time 37.50 hours a week. This role will be supporting remotely, but a need to travel to support or attend their offices in central Birmingham may be required.
This role is a very personal role in being able to support the manager during day to day tasks and daily planning of meetings and supporting those meetings in every way possible, you would essentially become an extension of the manager in summarising, prioritising and preparing material to use, as an example.
Key tasks and responsibilities are below:
- Taking accurate notes at meetings and during conference calls - both remote and in person
- Creating and proof-reading documents, presentations and emails
- Reviewing data and checking spreadsheets for accuracy
- Supporting with email correspondence
- Using a range of software applications such as Microsoft Office, particularly Teams and its planner function, Co-Pilot, Jira, Mural, etc.
- Ad-hoc support with day-to-day work tasks
- Occasional travel to some of our office locations to attend and support in-person meetings.
In terms of experience and wider skills set, the below would be essential / desirable:
- Previous experience working as a PA/Support Worker
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal with an excellent attention to detail
- Experience working with a range of software packages and solutions, able to learn new applications
- A problem solver, able to develop solutions to problems and issues as they arise
- Great people skills, able to build lasting business relationships
- Highly organised, able to manage own workload and respond quickly to changing priorities
- Previous experience of the technology development sector would be useful
- An understanding and appreciation of disabilities and neuro-diversity and how they can impact on an individual's ability to perform to their best at work could be beneficial
This role will require a clear DBS to be in place, and three years referencing.
