Job Description
Brook Street Recruitment is working with our client in Ballyclare to recruit a Parts Supervisor
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Day to day supervision of a team of parts people - managing performance against targets, conducting probationary reviews, performance appraisals & progress meetings, managing absence etc.
- Coaching and developing parts team members - identifying training needs, ensuring these are followed up on
- Parts sales to customers via telephone and face to face
- Developing and growing our established online parts sales presence
- Coordinating stock checks and discrepancy checks
- Creating and maintaining price support for parts cases
- Management of stock inventory and stock health
- Allocation of key customers to the parts team and follow up on parts sales progress
- Liaison with other departments on current promotions and implementation of these (working with internal marketing team to publicise)
- Analysing parts sales spend and reporting on this
- Relationship building with customers - building up existing customer accounts and business development to identify and secure new customers for parts sales
- Ensuring that customer demands are met, and that the correct solution is supplied
- Complying with all relevant health and safety regulations and best practice and promoting this throughout the after-sales department
- Adhoc duties commensurate with the position
Criteria
- Relevant parts sales experience, working within a franchised dealership parts department
- Experience of working in or knowledge of the plant or agri industry
- Previous experience of supervising staff performance
- Previous experience of managing customer demands and expectations to the required standard
- Possession of a valid, full driving licence
- Leadership & People Management experience
- Must be an effective and supportive member of a high performing team that pro-actively supports others to achieve the overall targets
- Organisation - Can work methodically within defined processes and pays attention to detail
- IT Skills - Ability to use common computer packages and systems
The core hours of work will be Monday to Friday; 08:30 - 17:00, however, some flexibility will be expected outside of these hours as needed due to operational requirements.
