Job Description
Brook Street Recruitment is working with our Belfast client to recruit a Part Time Facilities Officer
This role reports to the Human Resources Manager and is responsible for supporting a busy department with daily facilities responsibilities.
Responsibilities to include:
* Supervise Front of House and the Post Team, coordinating holidays, daily tasks and resolving any issues that may arise.
* Organising building maintenance to be carried out, e.g., electrician, plumber, painter, air conditioning engineers, cleaners, etc.
* Organising the annual Fire Risk Assessment and other Fire Safety services that need carried out, e.g., fire extinguishers, fire safety plan, fire signage, PAT testing, EICR testing.
* Ensuring there are appropriate numbers of first-aiders and fire wardens.
* Organising the bi-annual Legionella surveys.
* Liaising regularly with the cleaning contractors and resolving any issues in conjunction with the HR Manager.
* Getting competitive quotes for repair work that needs carried out.
* Liaising with contractors.
* Negotiating facilities contracts.
* Manage the car park alongside Security.
* Maintaining facilities excel spreadsheets
Experience:
* Essential - 2 year's minimum experience in a Facilities role
* Essential - Must be currently working in a busy role
* Desirable - experience working within a professional services environment
Skills & Abilities:
This role covers a broad spectrum of facilities and administrative activities and consequently requires an individual that has the ability to operate across a diversity of tasks:
Essential - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Essential - Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask
Essential - Ability to work as part of a team and individually
Essential - Ability to use initiative as and when required
Essential - Experience working with MS Excel and Word
Role will involve working 20 hours per week over 5 days (e.g., 10-3 Monday to Friday ) but three full days a week will be considered - the role has a salary of £28k pro rata
