We are recruiting Clerical / Administration Officers for the Ministry of Defence. To work within their Office based in Llanfairpwll.

The Role:
We are recruiting for Administration Officers for the Ministry of Defence. This is an excellent opportunity to work within the Public Sector and develop your career by providing advice and assistance to the admin support function with their Defence Services department, utilising your practical administrative skills.
Person Specification
As an administrative officer, you will be expected to:
- Adopt a 'Customer First' ethos responding to customer enquiries to provide advice on policy and process. Keeping customers regularly updated on progress and seeking to remove any barriers to progress so that appropriate timescales are maintained.
- Provide quality customer service to ensure 'right first time' customer service is always delivered, taking ownership for issues and customer enquiries reducing hand-offs, response times and improving the quality of advice whilst managing expectations.
- Work with enthusiasm, attention to detail and good interpersonal skills.
- Deliver general administrative tasks such as record creation, case monitoring, customer notification, general casework, and appropriate record handling in line with Data Protection and basic IT skills.
- Handle queries from customers, providing advice on policy, processes and services relating to policy and processes.
- Undertake classroom based or desk training in support of up-skilling and the delivery of flexible resourcing across FPCP or AF&V to accommodate demand in peaks and troughs in line with the Workforce Plan.
- Follow GDPR and MOD Security protocols when dealing with documents and data.

- Hold a minimum of two GCSE passes (grades A*-C) or equivalent or higher and have a minimum of one year's administrative/clerical experience in an office environment, including general office duties, word processing and practical use of computers OR have an NVQ Business Administration Level 1.
- Ability to organise a busy workload to deliver effective results on time and meet changing demands as required
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with others as part of a team, using own initiative to solve problems and respond to others
- Ability to take a responsive and customer-focused approach to work and protect customer and colleague confidentiality
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office - Demonstrable experience in using Outlook, Excel, and Word in an office environment whilst being proficient in ICT.
