Job Title: Marketing Assistant
Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 per annum pro-rata, DOE
Department: Sales and Marketing
Location: Peterborough
Reports To: Marketing Manager
Job Type: 25 hours in Office - Monday to Friday (Hours can be discussed to suit)
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies, helping to enhance our brand presence and engage our target audience. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for marketing, and the ability to analyse market trends effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Management:
- Create and schedule posts across various platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter).
- Monitor channels for engagement, respond to inquiries, and build brand awareness.
- Conduct competitor analysis and identify trends for improvement.
- Track metrics for social media campaign effectiveness.
- Content Creation:
- Write engaging website articles, blog posts, and newsletters with an understanding of SEO best practices.
- Develop multimedia content (e.g., graphics, videos, infographics) using Canva and Adobe Suite.
- Assist in creating marketing collateral, brochures, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with the marketing manager on content strategies and campaigns.
- Marketing Analytics & Reporting:
- Compile reports on social media, email marketing, and overall campaign performance.
- Administrative Support:
- Compile and update product spec sheets for internal and external use.
- Provide general administrative assistance, including document management.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the marketing manager.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Suite, and WordPress.
- First-rate attention to detail and organisational skills.
- An understanding of current marketing principles and practices.
- Experience with digital marketing and social media content.
- Creative design skills, with an understanding of branding and design principles.
