Job Description
We are working with a MGA who are recruiting for an experienced Exposure Manager to join them as an Insurance Portfolio Manager.
They are offering a competitive salary of £120,000 plus benefits
They are looking for someone who has experience of working with and interpreting Cat Modelling data outputs from the main vendor and is able to articulate key metrics and statistics.
You will have Portfolio management experience specifically working with senior underwriting management teams to advise, plan and monitor against key appetite and thresholds.
Previous working background from UW or another MGA is essential
Experienced with CAT Modelling tools and interpreting and understanding the data, though you will not be doing the Cat Modelling yourself - this is more about understanding the output.
You will have strong DUA experience and will have experience of various classes of business in the London market.
The main functions of the role will be to :
Work with Underwriting teams to collate and prepare slip and exposure data to send to outsourced exposure data team and co-ordinating with catastrophe modelling teams to manage downstream modelling requirements and support validation of modelled outputs (movement reporting/interrogation and control check validations).
Working with outsourced exposure processing and catastrophe modelling teams to ensure that exposure data is accurate, appropriate and timely and that modelling is performed to meet internal and external commitments.
Monitoring and measuring exposure, modelling and underwriters team workflows to ensure service level agreements are being met.
Managing the portfolio close process, ensuring that bound risks have been fully processed and sent to exposure and modelling teams to create a monthly portfolio snapshot of bordereaux and modelling files to distribute to panel of markets.
This role will suit a self starter with around 5-10 years experience in this field, who is happy to work in the office 2-3 days per week.
