Housing Support Worker

Manchester - M14

£12ph + bonus

Temporary assignment until March 2025

Brook Street Social Care are now recruiting a dedicated housing support worker to work with our client in M12 specialising in housing and homelessness.

Responsibilities:

• To assist the Service Manager in the delivery of training sessions/workshops in local housing and welfare procedures
• To attend monthly drop-in sessions at Community Mental Health Teams across Tameside
• To assist the Service Manager in attending hospitals across the wider Pennine Care Footprint to facilitate patient discharge to those in Out of Area beds
• To ensure all aspects of diversity and inclusion are upheld to a high degree.
• To ensure all aspects of health and safety compliance are upheld to a high degree.
• To book in clients weekly and provide support at ward and community drop-in sessions.
• To key work or co-work a caseload of client cases either individually or with a Recovery Worker.
• To write supporting documents to other support services to support clients in their housing applications and recovery journey.
• To actively promote the service and build up partnership working relationships with other services and initiatives
