Job Description
Brook Street are currently working with our esteemed client to recruit for a Helpdesk Assistant based in Glasgow. This is a part time opportunity, requiring successful applicants to work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week to support the team by offering an excellent level of service to their customers and stakeholders.
This role is working as a part of the Facilities Management team, so experience of FM would be advantageous for applicants.
Role - Helpdesk Assistant
Location - Glasgow
Pay - £14.64-£16.30 per hour
Hours - 21 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
Duration - Ongoing temporary contract
This position will focus on providing an excellent customer care experience, ensuring consistent support for service users in the department. You will be liaising with internal members of the wider estates team, trades operatives and external contractors. Organisation will be key to this position as you will be responsible for arranging passes for contractors and ensuring these are returned as required by the team.
Duties -
- Oversee visitor/contractor enquiries, deciding on suitable action to be taken and escalating more complex queries to the relevant members of the team.
- Ensure that contractors have relevant certification.
- Liaise with maintenance staff and customers to arrange access to works.
- Provide reports to maintenance staff on outstanding works required.
- Complete various administrative tasks in line with works occurring within the estates management team.
Candidate Requirements -
- Experience of working in a helpdesk or customer focused role (ideally within facilities management or construction)
- Excellent understanding of MS Office.
- Ability to provide a great level of customer service.
- Organised individual capable of reactively managing a changing workload.
- The ability to work on your own initiative.
- Ideally with experience of using a maintenance management system.
