Background
Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service are responsible for the administration of Fixed Penalty tickets issued by Police Forces across England and Wales. At present this activity is carried out in 33 offices within the seven regions. Each office is responsible for the collection of payments, and dealing with correspondence.
Band E staff will need to display a commitment to four key principles: Continuous change, LEAN principles, managing uncertainty and improving performance.

Overview

The key purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to HMCTS in ensuring the payments are brought to account to ensure customer satisfaction



Key Responsibilities

" Deputising for Band D Team Leaders as and where required
" Supervise post opening/floor walker
" Allocate workload to band F staff
" To receipt, balance, bring to account and bank all monies paid
" To process correspondence and reports in respect of fixed penalties, camera detected and similar offences and including Penalty Notices for Disorder and Diplomatic FPN's.
" To process payments allocated to the suspense account.
" To monitor and update suspended cases from computer reports.
" To monitor and action all items received into the secure email
" To process refunds, cheques and payments as authorised.
" To input, locate and retrieve data from computer systems and prepare appropriate papers.
" To check, validate and amend computer held data,

Mismatch report
DVS audit
Escalation report
" To deal effectively with all public enquiries and liaise with the
DVLA and Police Forces
" To undertake a range of general office duties, including
Answering switchboard/telephones
" Use a range of computer software and hardware
Handle incoming and outgoing mail
Letter writing
Basic stock control
" Collection of a range of statistical data]
