Job Description

Brook Street are delighted to be supporting our Public Sector client in there search for a Temporary Facilities Administrator

Details:

Location - Newcastle Upon Tyne. Central and close to St James Park.
Type - Full time
Temporary until April 2025
Hours - Monday to Friday - Opening hours 08:00am to 17;00pm
Full office based
Pay rate - £12.31 (paid weekly)


The Facilities Department provides a highly responsive and proactive service, in a customer oriented environment where teamwork and communication are key to its success. In this role you will be required to undertake administrative duties, which will include:-

  • provision of local site services and coordination of a range of external suppliers and contractors
  • acting as first point of contact for internal and external contacts including staff, donors members of the public, contractors and suppliers
  • opening and sorting post and handling routine correspondence
  • data entry ensuring all records are up to date and accurate
  • receiving and making telephone calls
  • maintaining manual and electronic filing systems
  • general office duties for example photocopying and scanning documents

Experience and Knowledge

  • Experience of dealing with contractors and/or suppliers would be desirable
  • Experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), or equivalent Systems
  • Experience in administration, preferably in a service environment

Knowledge and experience of best practice in all aspects of Estates and Facilities Management would be desirable

Please note - Must be able to pass a Basic DBS. Be able to provide sufficient right to work in the UK documentation and provide 3 years of references.
