Job Description
Location: Abergavenny
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum + Additional £5,000 for Sleep-Ins
Sleep-Ins: £50 per sleep-in (approximately £5,000 extra annually)
Are you an experienced Senior or Deputy in residential childcare, looking for your next career step? We are seeking a committed and dynamic Deputy Manager to join our client. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the children's home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the staff team, promoting a positive and nurturing environment for both staff and residents.
- Oversee the implementation and review of care plans, ensuring they are tailored to the individual needs of each child.
- Act as a role model for staff, promoting best practices in childcare and safeguarding.
- Manage the home in the absence of the Registered Manager, ensuring continuity of care and support for the children.
- Liaise with external agencies, professionals, and families to promote the welfare and development of the children.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce (CYP) or equivalent.
- Experience working in a children's home as a Senior or Deputy Manager.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including sleep-ins.
