Job Description

An exciting opportunity on an 18 month contract to join a major organisation based in Newport as a Communications & Colleague Engagement Officer working on a 50/50 hybrid basis, a superb benefits package for this challenging and rewarding role.

The Colleague Engagement Officer role is responsible for the day-today coordination of activities, supporting delivery of the internal communications and engagement strategy.

Responsibilities include:


* Delivery of all internal communications activities
* A commitment to making sure that the organisation is considered a great place to work
by colleagues, customers, stakeholders and prospective employees.
* Prepare and edit a range of communications to ensure consistency and quality of content.
* Support the coordination of communications activities including both on and offline channels,
making sure that the relevant information is delivered to the right audiences and clearly represents
the company brand, objectives and ambition, priorities and values.
* Continuously evaluate, review and improve the current internal communication channels.
* Proactively support colleagues from all areas of the business to deliver effective and efficient internal campaigns.
* Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders across the business to enable effective communications and engagement support

Experience & Competencies Needed:

* Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power point and Outlook
* Have experience of managing an intranet/digital workplace and a working knowledge of communication planning.
* Be an effective and enthusiastic communicator who demonstrates initiative.
* Enjoy building strong relationships
* Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy when editing and developing content for communications.
* Have experience of producing and delivering effective and engaging communications.
* Possess a creative eye for design and video production.
