The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has one of the largest and most complex spend profiles in central government. The Commercial and Contract Management Directorate (CCMD) is responsible for coordinating procurement and contract management across the MoJ, its agencies and non-departmental public bodies.
Job Description
The successful candidate can expect themselves to be an essential part of a fast-paced team responsible for providing administrative support for all category procurement requirements. You will contribute towards the efficient execution of commercial administration activities, bringing new ideas to help shape the way the team works through continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. This role is an excellent opportunity to develop your commercial skill-set in a high-profile environment that aims to successfully deliver the priorities of the CCMD. Full training will be provided for using key procurement applications including Jaggaer and Adobe Sign.
Main Activities/Responsibilities
The job holder will be required to undertake the following duties and responsibilities:
- Help maintain the portfolio's forward look pipeline of projects, working closely with Commercial Managers and their teams to support maintenance of accurate records for each contract on Jaggaer
- Provide data analysis, considering trends and patterns to help inform strategy, sourcing and procurement decisions and assist in the preparation of reports for a wide variety of audiences including the portfolio SMT
- Monitor contract expiry dates, future of contract status and new commercial requests received. Ensure these are captured accurately on the pipeline and sourcing projects created on Jaggaer
- Communicate with category teams and stakeholders to provide updates and gather information on project status
- Help identify and implement continuous improvements to processes across the team to ensure optimal delivery of the pipeline and alignment to wider organisational priorities, best practice, and customer feedback
- Facilitate the timely contract and variation signature process across the portfolio on behalf of Commercial Managers
- Uphold the transparency obligation of the portfolio through Contracts Finder publications
- Support the Assistant Commercial Manager with managing the portfolio in box which acts as a front door for all new and existing commercial demand
- Stay updated with relevant guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and enhance administrative practices within the Demand Team
