Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm. The hours are worked mainly in the home as part of the staff team. There is an expectation that if there is an incident / need for you to stay you can be flexible in this.

Job Responsibilities:
Conduct supervision and manage a staff team effectively.
Support the Registered Manager in the daily running of the home.
Communicate effectively with both staff and young people.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies.
Assist in the development and implementation of care plans.
Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members.
Participate in on-call duties and sleep-in shifts as required.
Maintain accurate records and report writing as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Level 3 in Residential Children's Care.
Proven experience in a senior role within children's services.
Experience in care work with children and young people, particularly in EBD and challenging behaviour.
Strong leadership and shift leading skills.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage and support a diverse team.
Competence in report writing and documentation.
