Job Description
To assist the Catering Team with the management of the hospitality areas on all 5 floors and assist the Facilities Manager with department administration and other ad-hoc duties as required.
Responsibilities
- To ensure that meeting rooms are maintained to present the right image to clients and visitors.
- To maintain all daily duties as per the Food Management System daily schedules, in line with the H&S food handling requirements.
- To maintain the required RSM image through wearing the correct uniform on an everyday basis
- Prepare refreshments for meeting rooms, following a room-booking schedule.
- To liaise with the Catering team over catering requirements for sandwich/buffet/formal lunches, evening receptions etc
- Maintain catering stock control and assist with organising supplies.
- Assist with the clearing, washing, and polishing of crockery and glassware after each meeting.
- Set up meeting rooms with Catering requirements and to assist Post Team.
- Lifting and moving boxes, within manual handling guidelines
- To ensure that all matters are dealt with in an appropriate manner and to undertake other ad hoc duties as and when required by the Hospitality Manager and / or the Facilities Manager
- To assist covering the 6th floor Training Department.
- Rotating shift times; 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, 9.00 am to 6.00 pm & 9.30 am to 6.30 pm.
- May be required to work late evenings, which include the serving of Alcohol ( some events will finish around 10pm)
Requirements for the role
- Catering experience in corporate environment is essential
- Flexible and positive attitude - flexibility needed around working hours to meet the needs of the business on occasions
- To always maintain a professional attitude Ability to work under pressure
- Able to prioritise and juggle workload.
- Excellent time management skills
- Confidential
- Confident and resilient, experience of working with all levels of staff.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative within a team environment.
- Flexible attitude - may be required to work late evenings and to help cover any roles as appropriate/required within the facilities team. Regular overtime would also be a requirement of this role
- Strong team player - willing to support colleagues within the department wherever necessary and appropriate.
- At least a Basic Level of Microsoft Office to include, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
