Job Description
My client based Manchester City Centre are currently looking for an experienced Correspondence and Business Support Officer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a thriving candidate who is currently looking for an opportunity to grow, develop and learn throughout the role.
£14.37 per hour (weekly pay)
Temporary contract with the possibility of extension/permanent.
Full time | Monday to Friday 0900-1700 (Flexible on hours 0830-1630)
Hybrid- Minimum 2 days in the office
Manchester City Centre
Must be available to start asap and must be able to complete and pass DBS check.
The main duties for this role include answering all phone calls that come into the main phone line; responding to written correspondence queries; handling post; organising internal and external meetings and events; booking travel and accommodation; providing administrative and diary support for the Director of Communications and processing purchase orders for the communications team.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Experience of answering/redirecting telephone calls, including handling sensitive calls and managing challenging queries.
- Experience of diary management and booking travel.
- Ability to create a positive first impression by providing a prompt, courteous and professional call handling service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills particularly when dealing with visitors and staff members.
- Excellent organisational skills and experience of good practice in administrative processes.
- A high level of computer literacy including MS Word and Excel
- Ability to work with light touch supervision and plan/organise your own work, prioritising where necessary to meet competing demands.
- Ability to build knowledge of the business and use this knowledge to answer queries and/or seek out the best sources of information to satisfy queries.
- Establish and maintain a good rapport with colleagues across the team and wider organisation, to allow a good flow of knowledge and information.
- Experience of providing general administrative support to teams and individuals.
