Job Description
My public sector client is looking for a Business Support Assistant to provide first line support for the organisations stakeholders. This is currently a five month temporary assignment with the possibility of extension beyond. Monday to Friday paying £12.62 p/hr, full time 37.00 hours a week, 9.00am to 5.00pm and this role will be hybrid with the expectation of three days on site and the balance working from home.
For this role you will be responsible for supporting and providing first line support to the client's stakeholders, managing all queries via the commercial inbox, and delivering against commercial targets in relation to the business world.
Your main responsibilities will include tasks to be completed on a daily, weekly and monthly:
- Completing and managing Requisitions Approval, Supplier set Up, Commercial administration, Reporting, Spend Analysis and identification of development opportunities
- Managing queries, issues, tracking support developing Continuous Improvement solutions for the development of commercial knowledge across the Agency
- Reporting, analysis and recording of spend, performance and contract information to support Commercial Business Partners in wider Categories to deliver VFM outcomes for the Agency
- Support Commercial Back Office activity
- Support with system management, from training to implementing development opportunities
- Support the continuous improvement of the Commercial Hub and Commercial Intranet
Skills required:
- Able to prioritise workload and adapt to changeable deadlines
- Good communications in both written and verbal form
- Have the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and apply high levels of attention to detail
- Proficient in MS applications and database processes
- Required training on client specific systems and processes will be provided
Please note this role will require a DBS check, and three years referencing.
