Job Description

Role: Audit Manager
Located: Watford ( hybrid after successful probationary period)
Salary: Negotiable on Experience

Join a conscientious and diverse team in Watford and play a key role in driving growth! As part of this exciting opportunity, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a full portfolio of medium to large clients, including some groups, and booking the appropriate staff to complete each audit.
  • Reviewing files and highlighting key issues for the audit Responsible Individual (RI).
  • Liaising with clients in a professional and engaging manner.
  • Setting budgets and negotiating fees with clients.
  • Raising invoices in accordance with the agreed billing profile.
  • Tracking delivery against budgets and identifying any causes of overruns.
  • Involvement in appraisals/reviews and identifying training needs as required.
  • Engaging in business development and networking events, demonstrating the ability to introduce new clients through personal contacts or existing client introductions.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • At least 2 years of post-qualified audit experience from a UK accountancy firm, with a right to work in the UK. ( this role does not facilitate sponsorship)
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP.
  • IT competent, familiar with computerised packages (ideally Case Ware).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise, work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and multi-task effectively.
  • Strong capability to identify key risk areas during planning and completion phases.
  • Able to work on your own initiative while being flexible; a team player who can effectively delegate tasks while accepting responsibility for delegated activities.
  • A positive attitude, acting as a role model for others.

Employment Details

  • Full-time role - Monday to Friday (hybrid working after successful probationary period)
  • Remuneration will be dependent on experience.
  • Right to Work in the UK required.
