Administrator - National Probation Service

Location: Barnsley

Pay: 11.44 per hour

Job Type: Temporary

Sector: Public Sector

Hours: 16 hours per week (This role may involve some out of hours work.)

About the Client:

The Probation Service is a statutory criminal justice service that supervises high-risk offenders released into the community.

What Will Be Your Day to Day Tasks?

We are seeking a good natured and composed Administrative Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in administrative roles, care giving, or a similar background.

This role is vital in ensuring that our Probation Officer can perform their duties effectively, with the necessary adjustments. If you are receptive, attentive and have a background in administration or care giving, we encourage you to apply.

Key Tasks:

  • Provide administrative assistance to a Probation Officer requiring workplace adjustments due to a disability or other support needs.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks to alleviate workload pressures, allowing the Probation Officer to focus on other critical areas.
  • Maintain an encouraging and humane approach, ensuring a smooth work flow and effective assistance.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated patience, and empathy in previous roles.
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in customer service, care giving, or personal assistant roles is beneficial.
  • Understanding of the importance of not performing the Probation Officer's duties but providing necessary assistance.
