Job Description

Admin Band 4

Lisburn

We`re looking for a Band 4 Administrator to support our client`s team with essential administrative tasks and projects.

Working hours for this position are set at 37.5 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. The pay rate is £11.83 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to all functions within the relevant Area Command.
  • Prepare and collate relevant documents for management, committees, or working groups.
  • Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other documents accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and support on administrative processes.
  • Assist in monitoring and reviewing administrative systems and processes, implementing changes as necessary.
  • Set up and maintain physical and electronic records and filing systems.
  • Provide administrative support for meetings, including preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up tasks.
  • Deal with incoming and outgoing correspondence and general office duties.
  • Provide high-level internal and external customer service, including handling queries and complaints.
  • Administration of specific processes for various directorates/functions.
  • Attend meetings and participate in relevant training.

Employee Specification:

  • Possess at least 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English and Maths.
  • Have at least two years' experience working in a demanding office environment.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft applications.
  • Effective planning, organization, prioritizing skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Customer service orientation.

Desirable:

  • Experience of taking and producing minutes and action plans.
  • Experience of working within local government or the public sector.
