Job Description
Admin Officer - HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS)
📍 Location: Gloucester Town Centre (Fully Office-Based)
🕒 Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (37 hrs/week)
💷 Pay: £12.36 per hour, rising to £12.53 after 13 weeks
📅 Contract: Temporary until July 2025 (high liklihood of extension)
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our public sector client, HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) - an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS plays a vital role in supporting the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring it is accessible and fair for all, from individuals and families to businesses and the most vulnerable in society.
They are looking for a dedicated and reliable Admin Officer to join their team in Gloucester. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the justice system and gain experience within the public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings, and meetings
- Creating and updating records using in-house systems
- Managing incoming calls and handling shared inboxes
- Sorting incoming and outgoing post
- Drafting standard letters, reports, notes, and correspondence
- Ensuring documentation meets compliance and quality standards
