Job Description
Brook Street is currently recruiting for an Admin Officer to work with a large public sector client within the legal sector at Reading Tribunal Courts.
Our client, HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS), is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides vital administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring that justice works for everyone.
Position: Admin Officer
Location: Reading Tribunal Courts
Contract Duration: Initial contract until the end of March 2025
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Use of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Checking, processing, and responding to court applications
- Informing the courts and prison establishments of scheduled defendant hearings
- Dealing with customers both over the phone and face-to-face
- Logging data using internal systems (training will be provided)
- Using bespoke software (training provided)
- Conducting CVP video hearings and liaising with Tribunal users and Judiciary
The Ideal Candidate:
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- IT-savvy and confident with using various software
- Previous admin experience
- Ability to work effectively in a busy environment
