Job Description

We are hiring for the position of Admin Officer !

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £12.84 per hour

Contract: Temporary, 6 months with view to extension

Working Days: Full time, Monday to Friday

Hours: 37 hours per week, 9 am to 5 pm

Fully On site role.

Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their existing team of Administration Officers in the UKVI Department for the Home Office in Liverpool.

You will receive training to develop your expertise, however a strong focus is placed on individual learning and collaboration.

You will be providing appropriate support, working within the case working teams, managing basic administration tasks, answering emails, requesting information, and liaising with other departments and stakeholders.

Job responsibilities:

  • The role is primarily case-working Home Office applications made by our customers and to provide operational resilience across wider government. This will need to be done within customer service standard time-frame, which will be communicated by local management team.

Skills needed:

  • Good use of IT office packages required, as work is computer based.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work at pace, with a high degree of accuracy in written records.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, ability to work from different work-streams.
  • Have proficient use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) with the ability to build and maintain spreadsheets to collate information
  • Ability to manage mailboxes and respond to email queries
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced changing environment while providing quality output and adhering to performance targets
  • Be able to complete tasks in both a confidential and sensitive manner

Training:

  • No block holiday permitted during training period, typically 6-8 weeks.

  • All training will be held in the Liverpool Office.

** You will be required to undertake security clearance for these roles, and it is imperative that you hold a valid passport and be able to provide two proofs of current address and a proof of national insurance document.


**Start dates will be confirmed once we have had clearance back.
