Ministry of Justice

The Ministry of Justice is a major government department, at the heart of the justice system. They work to protect and advance the principles of justice. Their vision is to deliver a world-class justice system that works for everyone in society. Ministry of Justice (MOJ) is a ministerial department, supported by 35 agencies and Public Bodies.

Each year, millions of people use the MOJ services across the UK – accessing courts and legal aid, interacting with prison and probation officers, and receiving advice and support from the agencies.

Staff work together and across government to protect the principles of justice – whether they are providing advice and guidance to prevent reoffending, or they are bringing the principles of justice to life for society through policy and communication.

Brook Street has had the privilege of working with the MOJ family for many years . It is a wonderful opportunity for contingent workers to join an interesting and very important place to work. Throughout that time, we have supplied workers into various departments including:

  • HMCTS – Courts and Tribunal services

  • MOJ – HQ

  • HMPPS – Probation and Prisons services

  • OPG – Office of public guardian

  • Several other departments and Arms, lengths bodies of the MOJ

Brook Street provide admin & clerical support to these departments. Roles include Admin Assistants, Court Ushers, Court Clerks, Admin Officers, Case Administrators, Admin Support workers and Executive officers.

We provide staff to around 500 different locations across the UK including Scotland and Wales. The Majority of our roles are full time and office based (37 hours per week) however on occasions we do have part time or even hybrid opportunities available.
